The Methodist Church Ghana is endowed with several assets being bare lands, agricultural lands, educational institutions, manses, churches all classified broadly as land (per Ollennu N. A). In an effort to improve the management of these properties (land), The Property, Procurement & Development Directorate through the General Directorate for Finance & Development organized a one - day seminar on Asset Management. This maiden workshop/seminar delved into the effective and efficient use of the Church’s assets to achieve its optimal benefit.
The overall goal of this workshop is to contribute to improved effectiveness of the assets which will lead to the sustainable use of resources and assets management by the Church in service of the poor. Participants were selected from core Property, Procurement & Development (Finance & Development) sections of the Church to enhance their knowledge on modern trends in managing churches’ assets. After the seminar, participants are expected to:
1. Identify the all forms of Church Assets

3. Understand the need to manage these assets through responsible leadership in the governance and management of assets.
4. Know the legal issues surrounding the management of these assets and
5. Registration process of lands in Ghana
This strategic capacity building workshop was facilitated by by Prof. S. O. Asiamah and Kwamina Baiden Esq. In formation reaching us indicates that other seminars have been planned to further intensify asset management modules.
