The Assemblyman for Subinso II electoral area in the Wenchi Municipality of Bono Region, Hon Samuel Mensah has awarded ten pupils who excelled in the third term examination within the electoral area.
The prizes was a source of motivativating the students to study hard to various levels.
The beneficiaries ranges from primary to senior high school.
Some of the items were excercise books,pens and a cash prize.
Hon Samuel Mensah gave the awards during a Community durbar on Public Accountability and Environmental Governance organized by the office of the National Commission for Civic Education in Wenchi Municipality at Subinso II on Friday September 27,2019.
He also donated a wheelchair and undisclosed amount to a ten year physically challenged pupil at Subinso II Islamic basic school.
The Assemblyman who is also the Presiding Member of the Wenchi Municipal Assembly admonished that education is the key to every nation's development.
Mr Samuel Mensah charged students within the electoral area and within Wenchi Municipality as well as the entire nation to take their studies seriously.
Educating our children should not be one person responsibility so I called on everyone to help our children in their education Hon Samuel Mensah noted.
I feel that it is important to give back to my community because of everything it has done for me he emphasized.
